Thoughts on election
I am absolutely thrilled about the presidential election results! I was pretty sure that Obama would win but I had no idea that it would be in such a landslide! The fact that he won so many red states was incredible and I am so hopeful for the future! As for the California propositions, I am deeply disturbed by the outcome of prop 8. The level of ignorance and intolerance displayed by the result of this proposition disgusts me and lowers my faith in humanity.

I too am very excited to see Obama being the next president, but i beilieve that any strong democrat would have won by a landslide as well, just due to the situations Bush put us in as a Republican. The Republicans are not looking so good nowadays, and fortunately, after this election Democrats have gained and even larger majority in the Senate and House of Reps. The passing of prop 8 is disgraceful. It shows a huge amount of ignorance, and to me it makes me ashamed that the country I live in could pass something as selfish as prop 8. I figured that after so many years of discrimination and segragation of different races, gender, etc. we would have learned how wrong it is to be so predjudice against a group of people. Hopefully Obama will help rid the ignorance from our country.
I did not mean that he is socialist. I wrote my response before I knew who had won. It is personally one of my concerns.
ya i think the partial issue of the red and blue states was all president bush. He really gave a label to republicans. So in return, people just automatically went democrate to think a democrate would do the opposite of what bush did. Im not saying this was the main issue why we won, i can just know from first hand experience people going democrate after what bish did.
I was just trying to clarify because I thought that they were good points that is all.
